In 2023 I decided it was time for a change and have found myself living back on the East Coast. I’ve taken leave from my touring life and have been reassessing my intentions moving forward. In the summer of 2024 I released a single titled “Luv Is All” and also another single in the fall titled “Back Home”. I’m really enjoying the idea of exploring deeper into the Artist path as opposed to being in the sideman role that supported my life for so long. I’m still supporting other Artists as a musician in the Finger Lakes Region of New York but trying to focus on it more as a passion than a business while letting my own art take the front seat. It’s been a huge shift but a great opportunity to look inward and reflect on what’s been a really wild… fortunate in so many ways but also a bit disjointed from my own inner values at times.
There’s plenty I miss about living in Southern California… if I had to narrow it down I’d say it’s the physical geography, my friends/family, the vast music community, and of course the tacos. That said there are no ups without the downs so while things look and feel very different in Western New York it’s a welcomed change of scenery and one that’s forcing me to “do the work” in finding the joy. On the surface it’s a lot more grey but just below the surface here there’s a lot of magic… and not for nothing, but it’s where I’m from! Anyway, literally never have updated this section of my webpage so I figured why not take a stab at it. I’m looking forward to recording more original music in 2025 as well as to perform out more solo and eventually with some collaborators. I’ve taken some small steps towards doing so but there’s a long journey ahead no doubt. Hope to see some friendly faces along for the ride. Let’s all find some peace in it.
